Clothing is part of your player's appearance in the series. When you start off the game, your character is wearing a 100% random outfit that is usually cheap and very common, but very rarely, you may get designer or expensive outfits.

Designing your own clothesEdit

Although there is a large variety of outfits in the series, you can mix it up and make it unique by making your very own clothing! To do this, go to The Able Sisters, talk to Mable, and click "Make a Design" (unless you are playing City Folk or New Leaf). You will be lead to a menu which lets you draw on your new shirt! You then name it, pay 300 bells for it, and save it over a previous design. To let your villagers in on the fun, go to an outfit in the store you don't like and say "display mine". Now the critters of your town can wear your outfits!

Pro DesignsEdit

This is only in Animal Crossing:City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Talk to Mable and click "make a pro design". A pro design is a more advanced shirt. Normal shirts are good for abstract work, and pro designs are good for things like sweaters and coats. Pro's let you design the sleeves, front, and back of the shirt!

Clothing typesEdit

In the early games, you can only change your shirt. In New Leaf, you can wear the following:

  • Tanks
  • Long Sleeve Shirts
  • Short Sleeve Shirts
  • Skirts
  • Dresses
  • Hats (availble from Wild World)
  • Pants
  • Socks
  • Shoes
